There is a lot to consider when getting ready for agricultural land for farming— location, size, price, soil quality, water access, etc. Before that, check out these 10 Vastu tips for agricultural land.

Before you plan to buying agricultural land in Karnataka, Know these 10 Vastu ideas for your economic growth.

1. No Passages must be built linking two agricultural lands.

As per the Vastu for agricultural land, there must not be a link between two agricultural lands. So, a passage must never be constructed between two agricultural lands.

2. Compound Wall in Agricultural Land

Make sure you build both a thick and a high compound wall. Numerically, the length of the wall should be between 10 to 20 feet and it should have a height of at least 6 feet. The best corners for building these walls are in the south and west directions. Constructing the wall on the north or east side can lead to losses and bad crops.

3. Agricultural land should always be Levelled and slope

As far as the concepts of Vastu go, no land should ever be unlevelled. In case you can't level every piece of land, make sure that the unlevelled land is north/south facing. For a slope, always construct them in a way that they are facing the north/east direction. If any piece of the plot has a downward slope, it is said that this will lead to extreme losses for the owner. The logic behind this is that a downward slope symbolizes a higher expenditure as compared to the income of the owner. For best results, try and make the majority of your land smooth and multi-leveled.

4. Sowing Seeds in Agricultural Land

The sowing of new seeds should always take place on an auspicious day. Out of the 7 days, Saturdays and Tuesdays are considered to be the most auspicious. The day should begin with the chanting of hymns. Surya Mantra or the Gayatri Mantra are ideal chanting prayers. The process of sowing needs to begin from the southeast direction, eventually moving clockwise. The logic behind this is that if plants receive ample sunlight, the quality of agricultural production will automatically improve.

5. Planting Tall Trees Adjacent to the Agricultural Land

You can plant tall trees on the Southern or Western sides of the agricultural land as this proves to be beneficial in terms of agricultural yield.

Tall trees by the sides of an agricultural land act as windbreaks, protecting crops from strong winds and potential damage.

6. Storing Water by Boring and Underground Tank

To bring about positive energy across the plot, place the boring and underground tanks in the northern and southern directions of the land. Southeast, southwest, and northwest directions should be avoided at all costs. If you decide to construct a pipe or drainage system for irrigation purposes, build it from the south to the north direction.

7. Ideal Direction for Keeping the Agricultural Equipment

The agricultural equipment that is being used in the field should be kept in the Southern or South-Western direction. They should never be kept in North, North-Eastern, or Eastern directions. The thrasher machine, the bullock carts, and the other vehicles are to be kept in the Northern or North-Western direction. They should never be stored in the North-Eastern direction.

8. Sacred Fire Pit

Preparations and the implementation of the sacred fire ritual should take place in the evening. The very first bundles of the new harvest need to be offered to the Lord of Agni (fire). Place these bundles in the east direction along with the tamarind Om/0 spice. If your reaping season and the new moon takes place on the same day, you are also supposed to crack a coconut next to the newly harvested bundles.

9. Shape of Agricultural Land

According to Vastu, a rectangular or square shape is the most ideal for agricultural land. While reshaping the land, ensure that you do not cut it in the southwest/southeast direction. To achieve the right shape of the agricultural plot, you can construct a brick wall with a height of 2 to 4 feet. If you have difficulties in molding the shape of the plot, it is okay to remove the compound wall for this purpose.

10. Farm House for Agricultural Land

Since farmhouses are extremely trending these days, it felt important to include some tips about these kinds of plots too. Vastu principles suggest that your farmhouse should be built in the southwestern direction of the agricultural land. All equipment that is stored inside the farmhouse should be in the same direction as equipment arranged on the agricultural land.

Most of the time the owner of the farmhouse is the same as the owner of the agricultural land, hence making the whole process a lot easier. You are not alone if you ever feel like these activities are slightly irrelevant and can be ignored or neglected. However, we would not be advising you to follow these tips if we did not know that they work for sure. Every tip mentioned above is based on scientific research and intensive mathematical calculations.

11. Electricity and Power

According to Vastu Shastra, placing power and electricity sources in the southeast direction of agricultural land has significance for capturing dynamic energy flow and wealth. This location is thought to boost productivity and growth by bringing together the natural elements of fire and energy. It facilitates efficient resource management and promotes the general balance and harmony of the land, which benefits agricultural endeavors and outcomes.

12. Cow Shed

Vastu Shastra emphasizes the importance of carefully positioning all structures on a site. The northwest corner of a cow shed is considered the most auspicious place. The structure is supposed to improve the cattle's overall health and productivity. The northwest direction is related with air and space elements, both of which are necessary for animal survival. By placing the cow barn in this zone, you can create a happy environment that benefits the cows' physical and emotional health, resulting in greater milk production and general vitality.

13. Placement of Manure

These organic riches are best suited to the southwest portion of your agricultural area. This location is thought to harness the earth's energy, fostering soil fertility, strong plant development, and, eventually, plentiful harvests. By placing your manure and compost in this exact location, you are tapping into the southwest's stabilizing and grounding energy, which will nurture the life-giving elements of your organic matter and, as a result, improve your entire agricultural landscape.

14. Fencing

Natural fencing, such as bamboo or lush green plants, does more than only protect agricultural land; it promotes a harmonious environment based on Vastu Shastra principles. Beyond conventional border delineation, these living barriers serve as conduits for positive vibrations, directing essential life forces toward growth and abundance. Bamboo's quick growth and resilience represent prosperity and energy, whereas lush foliage depicts nature's nurturing essence. This natural barrier not only improves aesthetics but also forms a protective aura around crops, sheltering them from bad influences and attracting beneficial energies that boost agricultural productivity and overall well-being.

15. Water Sources

Vastu Shastra emphasizes the importance of placing water sources such as wells, ponds, or borewells in the northeast direction. This auspicious location is thought to provide positive energy, abundance, and success to the agricultural area. The northeast is related to the water element, hence placing water bodies in this quadrant is considered harmonious and good. It is supposed to increase fertility, promote good crop growth, and foster a vibrant habitat for flora and wildlife.
